Marie Sapirie

Marie writes in-depth, technical articles and features on a wide array of federal tax topics for Tax Analysts and is a frequent guest on the Tax Notes Talk weekly podcast. Her writing has covered energy tax credits of the Inflation Reduction Act, partnership audits, and opportunity zones. Before joining Tax Analysts, she was an associate with the tax practice at Covington & Burling LLP and a law clerk for Judge D. Brooks Smith of the Third Circuit and Judge Glen E. Conrad of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia. Marie has a BA in English and economics from Georgetown University and a JD from William & Mary Law School.
